No.  You must own and occupy the place which you intend to do electrical work. 

Do I need a permit for a garage?

Yes.  If the land is less then ten (10) acres (attached or detached). Follow up additional process/survey is required if less than ten (10) acres.

No.  If land is more then ten (10) acres (unless attached).

I am on a farm more then ten (10) acres do I need a building permit?

Yes.  If it is a residence or attached to a residence

No.  If it is an agriculture type of building and detached from a residence ex: barn, detached garage, shed, tractor shed, shop, chicken houses, storage, etc…

Do I need an electrical permit or an inspection?

All electrical work must be inspected by our office and be done by a KY licensed electrician or Home Owner
